# 19 - Creating and/or Modifying a Component

To create or modify a component, follow these steps:

1. Access the Component Management page:

  • Navigate to the main menu and select "Inventory" > "Category Location".
  • Choose the desired category from the list provided.

2. Locate the component you want to modify or create:

  • Browse through the list of components or use the search bar to find the specific component.

3. Modify or create a component:

  • Modifying an existing component:

    • Click on the "Edit Component" button located in the right-hand section of the page.
    • Make the necessary changes to the component's information, such as name, icon, type, and issue labels.
    • Save the changes by clicking on the "Save" button.
  • Creating a new component:

    • Click on the "New Component" button located in the right-hand section of the page.
    • Enter the required information to identify the component, including its name, icon, type, and issue labels.
    • Validate the creation by clicking on the "Save" button.

  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to create or modify components.
